STRATEGY LESSON 1

STRATEGY LESSON 2 – Using kiai to break your opponent’s spirit!
Your initial kiai must be, above all, loud! If you can break your opponent’s eardrums as well as his spirit he will not be able to hear the referee or the bell, giving you a clear advantage. Also, a good kiai can put your opponent out of later matches, unless he has spare gi bottoms!

STRATEGY LESSON 3 – Always shake hands with your opponent before the match.
This shows good spirit and etiquette and helps you size them up!
